    Situation

Wolverhampton has been identified as one of the area's most vulnerable to the economic impact of COVID-19. When considering the long-term economic impact, we know that people already experiencing poverty and homelessness will be further disadvantaged. We're also predicting a greater need for our food and support services from people that haven't had to access food or support services previously due to loss of employment and accommodation following the lockdown.

    Solution

Tackling food waste and food hunger is something we are passionate about to ensure food doesn't go to landfill. We have regular suppliers but are also heavily reliant on donations from the public and charitable funds to ensure we can provide wholesome meals. It is in welcoming people for food that we are able to forge positive relationships and look for openings where we can to help them move forward towards becoming self-sustainable and living a fulfilled life.
