We empower underprivileged Palestinian youth in Palestine/Israel by giving them the tools and skills needed to become change-makers. We do this through our Scholarship Programme and also partner with grassroots civil society organisations that work in the fields of education and culture.

    Situation

Palestinian students are disadvantaged in Higher Education, employment and achieving equality. The Covid-19 pandemic has had an unimaginable and devastating effect on the Palestinian economy. Prior to the lockdown, almost 48% of Palestinians living in Israel were already living below the poverty line. This is even more dire in the West Bank and East Jerusalem where young people are also exposed to conflict related violence and movement restrictions, affecting their mental and physical health.

    Solution

We aim to break the cycle of poverty and marginalisation by offering higher education scholarships in Israel and the occupied Palestinian Territories, and by providing opportunities for cultural enrichment activities as well as academic support and career preparation. We support impoverished high-achieving Palestinian students to achieve their full potential.
