    Situation

Most rough sleepers have needs that go beyond a roof over their heads. Some rough sleepers are so profoundly traumatised - many by childhood trauma and all by life on the streets - that they struggle to sustain relationships or interact productively with most homelessness services. This group tend to cycle through street, housing, prison and street again. They need intensive support to help them rebuild familial and social relationships and make a personal transition to a new life.

    Solution

We draw on 200 committed volunteers, the support of businesses, and the hosting of our services by local venues and churches. Our residents and volunteers live and work together as a community to provide outreach services to those still sleeping on the street. This way, entrenched rough sleepers can work through their trauma in a structured, healing environment, transform their ability to form relationships and empower themselves through working to help others still on the streets.
