Situation
Decades of conflict and misgovernment across the East Africa region has both led to, and been partly caused by, marginalisation and lack of education in many communities. We urgently need to expand educational provision for refugees and others affected by conflict, in order to break the cycle of violence, poverty and displacement.
Solution
We help people acquire the ability to become leaders and change makers, and equip themselves to address the conflict and misgovernment that has affected their communities. With these skills, they are able to return home to build peace. Our alumni are represented at both national and international levels in governments, NGOs, the UN, and more - proving that those who have been affected by conflict are best-placed to find solutions, and be architects of their own just societies.
