    Situation

SbS was formed to provide a springboard into the profession for graduate musicians who are often unable to sustain themselves in the critical stage between graduation and secure employment. Orchestras want musicians who: have the stamina to cope with demanding schedules, are well versed in a huge range of repertoire and styles, can partake in community work and have the energy and skills to inspire the next generation, bringing an entrepreneurial, versatile and creative approach to their career.

    Solution

SbS empowers each musician to take control of their personal development to become versatile, innovative, collaborative and healthy professionals. They give 80+ performances per year both alongside world-class partner organisations and their own concerts. An inspirational taskforce, they work with children and community members. 550+ musicians have benefited from the programme and can be found in professional international orchestras whilst initiating their own musical ventures.
