We want every young person in Cornwall to realise a brighter future through the transformative power of art. By delivering a dynamic new venue we can unlock confidence & ambition. Our theatre will be a space for young people where exploring heritage, music, dance and theatre, inspires and brings opportunities alive.

    Situation

Young people in Cornwall face challenges where 1 in 3 live in poverty in our most deprived areas. Fewer make the jump to higher education than anywhere in the UK, and career pathways to the arts are limited. Our former theatre was not fit-for-purpose. It lacked seating and dressing room capacity, digital functionality and enterprise areas. Hall For Cornwall is the only dedicated space for live performance in the entire county. Our young people deserve better to help them dream bigger.

    Solution

By transforming our Grade II listed building, young people will be able to experience major art forms through improved seating and flexible pricing. State-of-the-art facilities will attract new audiences and growth in our youth programmes. Partnerships with local colleges and Falmouth University will enable more apprenticeship schemes. New spaces for innovation and enterprise will encourage employment prospects and our vibrant cafés will enhance social interaction in a creative environment.
