Situation
Three out of four people who are blind don’t need to be. For many people living with avoidable blindness in the world’s poorest places, sight-saving treatment is out of reach due to a lack of eye health services. For the 230,000 children in Nigeria unable to see, too often losing sight also means losing the chance to go to school, live independently or earn a living as an adult. No child should go blind, just because they are poor.
Solution
With your support, we aim to offer eye tests to 1.5 million children and provide sight-saving treatment to all those who need it.
