We are growing our vital support for vulnerable women in our community. Our thriving women's group has had rapidly increased attendance, highlighting the urgent need many women have of casework support to help improve their circumstances. We want to offer specialist support for addressing this.

    Situation

Many of the women we see are extremely isolated and lacking in information to manage their lives well. They often do not know their immigration status and are vulnerable to living in extremely poor housing, poverty, and poor health. We want to work with them to support them to better understand their situation, take positive steps to improve their lives, and to become healthy and active members of wider community life.

    Solution

We have unique access to a growing number of women who attend our twice weekly women's group. We see about a hundred individuals each year and anticipate that this will rise. Relationships built during our women's group mean that we are trusted and are often turned to for advice. We would like to boost the support we can give to this group through boosting our casework hours, as well as enhancing our offer to women so that we include as wide a range of support as possible.
