Tower Hamlets has the 3rd highest number of rough sleepers in London, as well as the highest levels of depression and anxiety, with life expectancy for men being the lowest in the UK. Tower Hamlets is also ranked 3rd nationally in terms of income deprivation. Many of the homeless that we meet have various needs including material, emotional, relational and spiritual. GrowTH works in partnership to reduce the number of rough sleepers & help end the cycle of homelessness for these guests.

GrowTH seeks to provide a holistic response to homelessness in the borough. Our emergency shelter supports rough sleepers and our housing project provides affordable and accessible local homes. Our new projects for 2022 will seek to help meet the relational needs which underpin most cases of homelessness. A new home can only go so far in helping a guest. We want to now provide support on a deeper level for those who are willing to face up to the issues of which homelessness is just a symptom.
