Situation
Lack of access to education as a result of poverty, is a barrier to development and human dignity. Poverty creates dependency and long term need. Education provides the possibility of individual and social development and economic freedom, and so breaks the cycle of poverty over families and society.
Solution
We will provide the means for children and young people to access and complete basic school education to certificate level. We will also provide funding for students to access higher education and vocational training, thus giving them employable skills. Our track record over almost 20 years of investment has shown us the life transforming impact of sustained education. Young people now working as teachers, nurses and engineers are a perfect reminder of what is possible.
