To support local children who have disabilities and other needs who have been disadvantaged by the limitations and restrictions imposed by the Covid19 pandemic. We will provide adventure play opportunities to help build up children's self-esteem and confidence and social skills.

Situation
Children, especially children with disabilities, have been adversely affected by Covid19 closures, lockdowns and restrictions in addition to the effects on families of the economic downturn. Children are increasingly feeling excluded, isolated and stressed. Food and energy poverty also means children are experiencing play poverty at home and at school (schools have to focus on education and have less resources but also families have less or no money for toys, outings etc).
Solution
To level the playing field for disadvantaged and disabled children this festive season by providing adventure play to local children as well as play boxes to all our families. By providing children with adventure play we can support the whole family and give children a much needed wellbeing boost. We will also provide play boxes for Christmas to make sure every ELHAP child has toys and play resources this year.
