Online sexual exploitation robs children of their childhood. Aaron was under two when his father started abusing him and recording it to share online. Tragically, over 50% of children brought to safety by IJM and police in these cases are aged 12 or under. Traffickers in places like the Philippines sexually abuse children in real-time, for sex offenders in places like the UK to watch online. This is just one type of child trafficking that IJM works to stop. Together we can protect children.
Solution
Online sexual exploitation and child trafficking thrive when perpetrators can abuse and exploit with little fear of being caught. International Justice Mission (IJM) partners with police and local communities to find children and bring them to safety; ensure traffickers are arrested and held accountable; help survivors heal through trauma-informed care; and work with local communities to stop trafficking long-term. We’ve seen child trafficking decrease by up to 86% in places where we’ve worked.
