Meaningful employment is one of the best ways for women with convictions to take control of their lives and reshape their futures. Help us create a world where no woman is held back by her criminal conviction and where all women have the support they need to thrive, and contribute to society.

    Situation

Finding a rewarding career and financial independence can be a challenge for anyone but for women with convictions those challenges can seem insurmountable. Without proper support, 96% of women are unemployed 6 weeks after they leave prison and 58% go on to reoffend. Poverty is a key driver of women’s offending but with the right support, we empower women to create better futures for themselves and their families by helping them to find meaningful employment and break the cycle of reoffending

    Solution

We support each woman to identify her own needs, skills, and ambitions. She's supported through our bespoke employability programme and then matched with a job or opportunity that's right for her. 90% of the women who use our service get a job, and 92% of those are still in the job 6 months later. We want a world where no woman is held back by her past and every woman has the opportunity to find meaningful employment and transform their lives.
