Providing early intervention is vital for a baby’s future life outcomes because if missed this window of opportunity can never be regained. The brain is at its most plastic in the first 2 years of life, which is when our specialist therapy can have the greatest impact on a child’s future outcomes. For example, being able to sit, walk and communicate. We are seeing an unprecedented demand for our early intervention service and we don’t want any child in Wales to miss this opportunity.
Solution
We’re aiming to raise £22,000 through this appeal to help ensure our service is there ‘For Every Little Life’ that needs us and that our specialist team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech & language therapists can offer their knowledge, support, and expertise to the families in Wales living with cerebral palsy.
