Situation
Unemployment among young people is a major global crisis, which has only been made worse by the pandemic. One billion young people are set to enter the labour market in the next decade, yet 60% will not find a decent and sustainable job if nothing changes. We have the largest global youth population in history, who are ready and able to generate jobs if given the training, opportunity and support. We need to act now so they can build their own futures and strengthen their communities.
Solution
We have over 30 years experience supporting young people’s transition to a decent, sustainable living. We have successfully supported young people to remain in education, gain essential business skills, access formal employment opportunities and set up their own businesses. Last year alone, we supported 34,200 young people to achieve a decent and sustainable livelihood for themselves and their communities.
