RABBLE Theatre train theatre makers from the age of 8-18. We give teenagers a place where they can be themselves and learn how to create their own work along side inspiring mentors. We are looking to fund 15 free places for children with SEND and from areas of low arts engagement for a year.

    Situation

Many young people in Reading are unable to access the arts due to lack of financial support and there is a lack of opportunities available to SEND students. A lot of other theatre schools exclude students who can not conform to rules and there is very little provision for neurodivergent teenagers. There is also a lack of pathways for young people into to arts especially those from areas of low arts engagement as there are financial barriers.

    Solution

RABBLE Young Company is a leading force for positive change in the lives of teenagers, giving individuals courage to speak out, change pathways & the skills to create & sustain professional work. We are much more than just an acting school, giving our young people the skills they need to follow pathways into the arts and supporting them with inspiring mentors. “Young Company. gave us hope. The support RABBLE offered during a very dark period in the whole family's life was invaluable,” YC Parent.
