    Situation

The benefits of attending a competitive university can be life-changing. Graduates can access the most competitive and influential career paths and report higher rates of life satisfaction. 1 in 3 of the most advantaged young people progress to the most competitive universities, compared to just 3 in 100 of the least advantaged. Young refugees often face even more barriers to participation at the most competitive universities than their British counterparts.

    Solution

The Brilliant Club exists to level this playing field by creating life-changing opportunities for young people to reach their full potential in education. Through The Scholars Programme, we connect young refugees with subject-expert PhD researchers to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to access the most competitive universities. They will take part in university-style tutorials with their PhD tutor and visit two universities to discover more about university life.
