    Situation

Our Centre Managers & Carers Manager report that: •Many clients & families are struggling to cope with rising costs •Many already rely on benefits, & have limited disposable income – some live in wards that are within the 10% most deprived in the country (IMD) •The current economic situation is exacerbating difficulties & increasing anxiety •Making healthier lifestyle choices can be very challenging on a tight budget •Not all families are accessing their full entitlement to benefits & support.

    Solution

Our experienced staff at our 5 centres will offer tailored activities to enable clients to gain skills & knowledge to stay healthy & socially connected on a budget. Activities will focus on ways to: •Increase financial competency eg money management skills, using budgeting apps •Shop & eat healthily on a budget •Getting out & about on a budget •Reducing energy & household costs Centre teams will also enable family carers to find out about the full range of support to which they are entitled.
