Whilst Queenscourt is a specialist clinical environment, we are proud to create a beautiful, bright space where people feel as comfortable and heartened as possible. We need to refurbish our ward to enhance our care environment, improving the wellbeing of our patients, families and team.

Situation
Being admitted to a hospice for complex symptom management and urgent needs can be a frightening experience. Away from the comfort of their own home, patients may be undergoing crisis intervention, recovering from intense treatments, or struggling to cope with symptoms such as pain and breathlessness. Their whole world can become the room they are in.
Solution
As well as necessary maintenance, we plan to create a setting that is even more welcoming and uplifting for patients and their loved ones. Improvements will include new curtains and pictures, updated facilities such as iPads and furniture, units installed in each room to store essential PPE and a more efficient nurse call bell system. Our aim is to update our ward to enhance the exceptional care provided around the clock by our dedicated team of doctors and nurses.
