We work with children and young people, aged 15-25, who have experienced trafficking and exploitation. By providing peer groups, education, healing activities, participation opportunities and advocating for the rights of all children, we support young people to build stable futures

    Situation

Child trafficking in the UK is worsening. Between 2020 and 2021 we saw an increase in the number of children identified as victims by over 10% with 5,468 being referred to authorities in 2021 (2020: 4,946). These children are exceptionally vulnerable due to the nature of exploitation and the uncertainty of their status in the UK. Even after being identified as a victim of trafficking, they receive no specialist care, often experiencing poverty, loneliness and isolation.

    Solution

We run a Youth Programme for children and young people who have experienced trafficking and exploitation. We deliver weekly youth groups which offer a safe space for young people to receive support, build positive peer relationships and overcome their experiences. We are providing festive activies & hampers to our youth group members, filled with essential items as well as treats, to remind them this festive season that they are loved, supported, and celebrated by people that care about them.
