Our music holiday clubs give children, whatever their circumstances, the chance to enjoy a day of singing and music in a relaxed environment. Children get to meet and perform with professional musicians, have fun, and develop their musical talent.

    Situation

There has been a decline in primary music education over the last decade. Research shows that music plays an important role in child development. It can improve social skills, co-ordination, self-confidence, listening skills, creativity, and physical skills. For many children, a good music education will foster a life-long love of music.

    Solution

Alongside our schools programme which helps remove the barriers for primary schools to deliver a wide-ranging music curriculum, our community music activities such as our music holiday clubs, allow children to experience many different types of music in a relaxed environment. The holiday clubs also provide much-need childcare for parents. Through our links with professional musicians, we have the opportunity to inspire young people to develop their musical talent in whatever ways suits them.
