In celebrating our 40th anniversary year, NYCGB is aiming to ensure all our young singers have equal access to the highest quality music education. All donations will give the gift of singing, supporting bursaries for 50 talented young singers to join one of our life-changing programmes in 2023.

    Situation

Young people’s access to and participation in music education varies widely across the UK, especially for those in state education and from low-income families. Covid-19 and the cost of living crisis have both added even more challenges for disadvantaged young people in the UK. As a result, too many miss out on opportunities to sing and discover its benefits – yet these are often the young people whose self-belief, aspiration and confidence can be nurtured the most through NYCGB’s programmes.

    Solution

NYCGB inspires and empowers young people through the life-changing experience of singing together. We create accessible pathways to support young people nationwide to discover their voice and provide exceptional opportunities for them to realise and reach their potential, not only in singing but life. Inclusivity is core to our ethos. We provide financial assistance to any young person who needs it so they can truly make the most of their NYCGB experience, without having to worry about the cost.
