    Situation

Music played an essential role in connecting people throughout the pandemic and continues to be vital in reconnecting communities moving forward. For aspiring professional musicians, the pandemic has been a challenging time. It has restricted opportunities to be tutored in person and almost all performance opportunities have been removed. This is an essential part of every musician’s development and is a difficult step to achieve normally - and even more so during the pandemic.

    Solution

The Oxford Piano Festival offers young pianists a platform to present their talent to the public whilst receiving unique tutoring from world-leading piano professionals. The Festival is also an opportunity for the public to witness the teaching of some of the greatest classical musicians in the world. A selection of our events are livestreamed online, which further benefit a larger audience, beyond the space and time limitation of a performance venue.
