The UK is also facing an energy crisis that has caused a huge rise in home heating bills. While fossil fuel and energy companies post record profits, millions of us are taking desperate measures to save money. Our energy system is failing us when we need stability.

We have the solutions for a cleaner, more affordable future for everyone. We’ll be campaigning for new oil and gas extraction projects to be rejected in favour of low-carbon solutions. And we’re demanding the government funds an insulation programme to reduce bills this winter and beyond, ensuring it reaches those most in need. A huge task is ahead of us so we’re going to mobilise the UK’s largest grassroots network to campaign on behalf of people and planet.
