    Situation

Young Londoners from disadvantaged backgrounds struggle to develop the skills they need to succeed in life. This is especially true for those with special educational needs and disabilities. At CSSF we put tremendous effort into making our programmes accessible for all. Our flagship programme, the Theatre Festival, sees young people from all walks of life participate, but for some, the evening events, theatre venues, staffing requirements and transportation present a barrier to participation.

    Solution

Our newest major programme, Shakespeare Schools Film Festival, enables all young people across the capital to participate. Focusing on what teachers and pupils value most about our work, this format provides vital learning opportunities within an adaptable framework, making it even more accessible. Films can be made in school, during class time and with bespoke support. The project will enhance young people’s digital skills, developing knowledge and experience to enrich their futures.
