Situation
The effects of the pandemic have compounded existing inequalities in our society - disadvantaged young people are now even further behind their peers, and the music industry is still too often closed to all but the most privileged.
Solution
Future Sound responds by focusing on supporting talented young people from diverse & disadvantaged backgrounds who would otherwise lack the opportunities for high quality music learning and development due to the family circumstances and/or background. We provide them with access to professional musicians they can see themselves in, relate to and learn from. We aim to inspire a lifelong engagement with music and the arts, while also building confidence, resilience and other key life skills.
