Climate change, deforestation, forest fires, changing weather patterns, extinctions and an increasing risk of disease require action now. Tropical forests are ‘the lungs’ of our world and the beating heart of the hydrological cycle. They stabilise weather, create and cleanse rain, sequester the CO2 that is driving climate change and are the most biodiverse regions on earth. We are losing them at a staggering rate. Destruction needs to stop and restoration needs to become the new normal.

TreeSisters focuses on reforestation through the funding of ethical, community-led planting projects that support local communities and restore biodiversity, water cycles, weather systems and soils. We are about so much more than planting trees. We know that social change is needed, to shift humanity from a consumer to a restorer species. Through education and leadership, our vision is to make it as normal to give back to nature as it currently is to take nature for granted.
