Music can transform children's development and wellbeing, yet there is a significant inequality of provision in schools. Music Masters delivers a high quality music education to primary school children from diverse and economically disadvantaged communities, unlocking potential through music.

Not all children have the same start in life. However, music can transform lives and potential, equipping children with skills that give them better life chances, particularly their numeracy, literacy, confidence, communication skills, and – crucially – their wellbeing. Every single child should have the opportunity to experience the extraordinary power of music in their lives, no matter their background, and we won’t rest until that’s a reality.
We work with 1,000 children aged four to 11, teaching each pupil two to three times a week through child-centred approaches to musicianship and instrumental teaching, particularly focussing on the benefits of learning in groups. Our Schools Programme also gives us the credibility to gently challenge the music sector to become more welcoming of diverse young talent from underrepresented communities in the music sector. We encourage children’s growth into well-rounded and confident young people.
