This campaign has now closed

We have entered the most vital decade for nature. In order to stop the deterioration of our natural world in its tracks, we must take action to protect the future. We need to create a Wilder Essex. One where wildlife is thriving, every person has access to nature and our habitats are connected.

    Situation

Our climate is in crisis and this will affect us all. We are dependent on the natural world in every aspect of our lives. The air we breathe. The water we drink. The food we eat. Our physical and mental health. We need nature and we need wildlife. There is now an urgent need to tackle the climate emergency; restore damaged habitats, connect our protected areas for the rest of the landscape, and lobby for legislation that places natural heritage at the forefront of policies and forward planning.

    Solution

By creating wildlife corridors and developing a nature recovery network, we hope to not only connect habitats for wildlife, but connect people with wildlife and green spaces again. We want to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to develop a lifelong love of nature, covering every area of Essex, urban and rural. It is our aim to get 1 in 4 people taking action to support nature, helping us to achieve our vision of putting nature into recovery across at least 30% of land and sea by 2030.
