    Situation

There are more than one million young women in the UK struggling to live on low/no pay with young women disproportionately likely to be in low-paid, insecure jobs. The pandemic exacerbated economic inequality and our research shows that 1.5 million young women lost income due to the pandemic. The Government’s recovery plan recognises that young women’s employment and mental health have been disproportionately affected, leaving disadvantaged young women in an even more vulnerable position.

    Solution

Work it Out was developed with vulnerable and disadvantaged young women as a direct response to the economic inequality they face. The service has a strong track record of success in addressing the above mentioned problem in providing impactful and transformative employability support that builds skills and confidence as well as stronger mental wellbeing. Being digitally delivered, we are able to reach the most vulnerable and marginalised groups in a world that is moving increasingly online.
