People on low incomes who are not eligible for help with housing from the local authority struggle to afford private rental properties because they cannot get enough money together to cover rent in advance, deposit along with affording household items, paying bills etc. They also often lack the means for applying for benefits and grants and setting up payments for Council Tax etc as almost everything is now done online.

We supply a Bond to cover the deposit on a private rental property. We support people as they set up their tenancies by helping with online applications, helping to source household items, rent in advance etc. We help our tenants to make applications for Discretionary Housing Payments to make up the shortfall in the Local Housing Allowance (Housing Benefit). We keep in touch with our tenants to see if they need help with paying bills and we signpost to other sources of assistance.
