Heal is addressing three intertwined problems. Nature in the UK is in crisis, with habitat loss driving drastic declines in wildlife populations. The climate is changing and we need nature-based solutions to enable us to combat rising CO2 and make the land and its wildlife more resilient to the impact of climate change. And people's mental health is under increasing pressure with many lacking access to natural spaces which have been shown to support wellbeing, particular minority ethnic groups.

Heal is raising money to buy land in England to rewild it, giving it back to nature forever. By restoring degraded habitats, we will provide refuge for vulnerable species and support the return of wildlife in abundance. Rewilding captures excess carbon from the air and locks it in healthy soil, plants and trees. Ted's Acre will be a special place for visitors to see rewilding in action and to learn and be inspired by Ted's work of a lifetime.
