Situation
New perspectives can change lives and minds. Through our engagement programme we seek to build confidence and self-esteem amongst a generation of young people who have been disproportionately affected by COVID and the subsequent restrictions on their lives. We seek to re-engage individuals with their communities, to re-establish social interaction and provide creative safe spaces for play, artistic expression and to share thoughts, ideas and forge new friendships and networks.
Solution
We will work across the country in regional hubs developing co-ordinated engagement activity across the 4 strands below: Co-created activities and performances for young people centred around Parkour. Innovative programmes to support a new generation of artists and athletes. Workshops for schools, with support resources for teachers, students and parents. Creative residencies for communities connecting movement, storytelling and the relationship between people and their environment.
