    Situation

Consultations with our clients has highlighted that Covid-19 lock-down periods and not being able to attend social activities, work, school, education, etc, have hugely increased and compounded the mental health problems of not only our existing clients, but additional people across North Yorkshire. These factors, combined with reduced support from statutory services and the likelihood of increased poverty and deprivation, will result in a significant increase in the demand for our services.

    Solution

We will further develop our capacity to deliver face-to-face/online counselling sessions, plus our Suicide prevention support projects; Courses which help 14 to18-year olds develop their self-worth; support to help people out of addiction; and our projects which enable families to manage stress and anxiety and build helpful relationships. Support sessions will take place on the same day/time, with the same person each week for up to one year, depending on the individual needs of each client.
