Funds raised will ensure LYC’s superb teaching continues to inspire, performances thrill, & no barriers prevent talented young singers from taking part.

Situation
LYC aspires to welcome more young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, and areas with few opportunities for high-quality choral singing. We want to remove existing barriers, both financial and social, and give talented young people the chance to work with leading practitioners and participate in major musical events. After 18 months of online rehearsals, we are providing live teaching once again and it is vital that we seek to improve the accessibility of our musical activities for all.
Solution
LYC’s team of choral specialists can make real substantial change to the lives & ambitions of young Londoners. We have recently launched 2 juniors choirs in outer boroughs, increasing access to the LYC Experience by bringing it closer to home for many. 2 more are in the pipeline. As membership grows, so does the need for financial assistance. Fees are subsidised & additional support is provided to remove barriers. Funds raised will also enable more young people to join our 6 City-based choirs.
