Situation
The first five years of a child’s life is vital for its ongoing development, right into adulthood and what goes on inside a family strongly determines the opportunities children have. Children who are raised in a stable, loving, family environment are more likely to have a positive and healthy future. We work with the family so they can nurture their children.
Solution
Families struggling with post-natal depression, isolation, physical health problems, domestic abuse, multiple children,bereavement and many other issues receive the support of a volunteer who will spend around two hours a week in a family’s home supporting them in the ways they need, as well as lots of other support. Obviously at the moment this takes place remotely. We help them to have confidence in their ability as a parent.
