Individuals who have been trafficked or exploited in various ways such as forced labour, sexual exploitation & modern slavery often experience PTSD or other forms of anxiety and this can have a significant impact on their ability to move forward with their lives. Beginning to hope for the future and make plans can be very difficult and can result in individuals remaining in a holding position for a long time. Ongoing stress and anxiety can lead to poor mental health and future wellbeing

Trauma informed coaching is designed to support individuals to move beyond “a fear state” into “a resourceful state”. Trauma informed coaching does not aim to deal with trauma but rather is aware of it, so as not to further traumatise individuals but instead to help them hold that trauma while supporting individuals to learn skills to cope with their anxiety, flashbacks & other manifestations of trauma. We will employ a Trauma Informed Coach to provide 1:1 coaching to those we work with.
