    Situation

The RTM Grant Programme is addressing the lack of funding for the provision of music - resources, equipment and tuition - within the school environment. Austerity and deprivation have stripped away the opportunities for many young people to engage in music and without these, the most deprived kids are falling in to crime out of desperation, need, poverty and loneliness. RTM funding enables a different vision and perspective as an alternative to gangs, crime and streetlife.

    Solution

RTM UK offers funding to state schools in areas of high deprivation for the express purpose of rebuilding the music provision within a school. This is done through a Grant Programme offering £10,000 to £20,000 one off grants to schools of above average Free School Meals and Pupil Premium. The RTM vision is to enable access to music for all students - a vital resource for all as a universal language but also a vast arena to explore & in which to grow in confidence & creativity.
