Our volunteer-led charity provides accessible and sensory theatre for children with disabilities. Fun that they can share with their families - at local special schools which have all the facilities they need or via online platforms. We also provide theatre work experience for disabled students.

    Situation

Attending a traditional theatre can be a daunting experience fraught with barriers for children with disabilities. Opportunities to perform and get involved backstage are also limited. Physical access, travel & cost all pose challenges. However, one of the main problems is a lack of understanding and inclusion. Children with disabilities are constantly expected to adapt and conform to mainstream services. This can lead to frustration, stress and disengagement.

    Solution

We provide multi sensory theatre experiences in fully accessible venues, and online throughout the UK. Our events are affordable & fun for the whole family. We use signing, communication aids & sensory experiences to aid understanding and to anticipate & adapt to the needs of each & every child. Our work experience programme gives young people with disabilities an opportunity to shine. We provide a safe, stress-free space for children and their families to both engage with and enjoy the theatre.
