More than 3.9 million children live in poverty in the UK. FareShare Midlands is raising funds to distribute 60,000 meals to vulnerable families living in food poverty this Christmas. Just £1 will provide 4 meals.

Against a backdrop of a global environmental crisis and the highest UK food poverty rates on record, large scale food waste is unacceptable. In the Midlands, hundreds of tonnes of quality, in date surplus food goes to waste each year, while thousands face hunger. FareShare Midlands has provided an emergency response during the Covid-19 crisis, and continues to support vulnerable men, women and children access quality meals through our network of charities and groups across the midlands.
Solution
FareShare Midlands works in partnership with the UKs largest food redistribution charity, FareShare, to source and redistribute quality, in date surplus food which would otherwise have gone to waste. We turn an environmental problem into a social solution. FareShare Midlands works with the charities and groups providing vital services to the most vulnerable people in the midlands to help them address the root causes of hunger.
