There are a shocking 10,000 cases of violence against women & girls each year in Province 2, Southern Nepal, & approx 400 street children left to fend for themselves. Our Sansar provides refuge, counselling, education & transformative support to lift these children towards the lives they deserve.

Situation
The Province 2 region in Southern Nepal is one of the smallest yet most densely populated provinces. Yet, there is little to no support available for the children and young people who desperately need it. This area has the highest number of missing children in the whole of Nepal. Young girls and boys are at great risk of trafficking, rape, violence, abuse, abandonment and exploitation. This is a critical situation that needs urgent, experienced and all-encompassing care.
Solution
We focus on holistic care that’s individual to each child’s situation, empowering them with a route out of poverty, exclusion & isolation. We work closely with police, social services and our community network to locate children in need of intervention, & we work hard to bring perpetrators to justice. Support includes: A safe place, Counselling, Education, Training and Work Experience, Re-connecting with family if safe or alternative long-term homes when that’s not possible, Legal support.
