Situation
Accidents are one of the biggest killers of children, second only to cancer - 55 under-fives die due to an accident in their home and 40,000 are admitted to hospital in an emergency. The emergency hospital admission rate is 40% higher for children from the most deprived communities. - 50 children die on our roads and over 2,000 are seriously injured every year - children from deprived backgrounds are 13 times more likely to die in a preventable accident

1. providing educational, picture based resources to nursery and primary schools 2. distributing safety advice and fact sheets to schools, parents and practitioners, which we also translate into 5 languages 3. work with leading companies like Duracell to provide preventative safety advice i.e on the dangers of children swallowing button batteries 4. Deliver awareness campaigns throughout the year such as Child Safety Week
