    Situation

Our members experience severe lifelong consequences from sudden brain injury; physical and cognitive impairments which affect mental health. Brain injury can be a hidden disability, putting people at risk of discrimination, abuse. Isolation, loneliness, loss of identity, self, job, pressure on family, loss of friends and breakdown of relationships. Survivors need to find new meaning in life, and rebuild themselves after a brain injury.

    Solution

We provide an art studio where people express happiness through developing new skills and identities. We encourage artists to collaborate, facilitate and develop their own creative practice. The artists flourish in a shared supportive community which fosters a strong sense of value and self esteem through their creations and connections made. Member artists co-produce, learn facilitation skills, feel happy in exploring art and learning new skills.
