Situation
Ecologia works with children and young people in difficult circumstances, who have been abandoned, orphaned and/or made vulnerable by poverty, inequality and ill health. There are too many children and young people in a cycle of poverty because of factors they cannot control, such as their gender, where they live, societal norms, their family’s financial circumstance, and lack of access to resources. Many are unable to change their circumstances and challenge poverty and inequality alone.
Solution
With our grassroots partners, we give young people facing disadvantage the support they need to thrive. This includes the access to a quality education, the confidence, skills and resources to shape their own future, and the family support vital to their health and wellbeing. We help them thrive and empower them to build sustainable lives, challenge outdated views, and grow stronger communities.
