    Situation

Dealing with the educational, social and emotional challenges of being a young carer or hospital patient is difficult enough for a 12-17 year old. For our young people, typically from disadvantaged and low-income communities, fear, isolation and anxiety are commonplace. The impact on their mental and physical health, life skills, educational achievement and chances of securing sustainable employment is great. We believe every young person should have the chance to achieve their full potential.

    Solution

Our long-term high impact 3-year programme combines 1-1,wellbeing and peer support sessions with inspirational events and workshops all focusing on providing critical emotional care whilst developing practical employment skills and personal development. Providing a safe space for teens with weekly inspirational talks, creative and coaching sessions to rebuild resilience, confidence and wellbeing. Not being defined by personal challenges. Being face to face again has more impact.
