We support young people in East London to make a difference in their own communities. By providing training and support to help kick-start projects they’re passionate about, we equip them with the tools they need to tackle the effects of the pandemic and become the next generation of change makers.

    Situation

The young people we work with live in areas with some of the highest levels of child poverty in the country. The systemic inequalities they face can create a sense of powerlessness and disconnection and mean they miss out on opportunities to enhance their skills and make their voices heard. The COVID-19 pandemic intensified barriers to success, leaving young people struggling to find work or complete their education, as well as feeling marginalised with few opportunities to grow and thrive.

    Solution

We’re supporting young people aged 15 and 24 to be agents of change in their local communities by providing skills and access to opportunities that will help them have a positive impact, while enhancing their future prospects in work and education. With an accredited training programme, one to one mentoring, skills workshops from campaigners and community leaders, we’ll help young people to launch and run their own projects, drive change and realise their own power.
