    Situation

Youth homelessness was at crisis point before the pandemic. Last year in London, 8447 young people faced homelessness. On average, that’s one young person almost every hour, of every single day. Then Covid-19 pushed more young people than ever to sleep rough. The pandemic exacerbated existing inequalities within our society, including youth unemployment and mental health challenges. The young people we work with are at the sharp end of this crisis, so we are calling on you to help us act now.

    Solution

We tackle the root cause of the youth homelessness crisis by supporting 18-25 year olds to develop life skills to live independently. Our 1-1 support programme helps young people who are most at risk of becoming homeless, including those who have experienced the care, criminal justice, and homelessness systems, to manage their money, home and wellbeing. Together, we can ensure young people aren’t left behind in the Covid-19 recovery and feel supported to make their first house their home.
