Gabrieli Roar’s vision is to ensure every UK child has access to the highest quality musical & artistic education through choral engagement. In 2022, our two intensive residential courses will provide 1000 young singers the opportunity to rehearse & perform with Gabrieli’s world-class musicians.

Situation
During the COVID-19 pandemic teenagers struggled to engage with choral singing due to lengthy periods of lockdown and continuous restrictions on social gatherings. Music teachers have been confined by guidelines resulting in rehearsals moving online or being socially-distanced as well as limited performance opportunities. No extracurricular music has taken place in 66% of secondary schools and 39% of secondary school teachers have reported a reduction in music education (ISM 2020).
Solution
We are determined to keep teenagers singing; we will help them to excel, develop confidence and nurture a love of choral music. The two residential courses will provide first rate musical choral experiences and opportunities which young singers have missed during the pandemic. We will offer aspiring choirs across the UK excellent choral training including advanced training sessions, building on vocal technique, musical understanding, and preparing them to return to the concert stage.
