    Situation

Skylarks knows that our young people are keen and excited to get into work. However, they are anxious about the barriers they may face to do this. Many disabled people are faced with issues such as discrimination, a lack of understanding or fear of 'getting it wrong' from an employer or physical obstacles stopping them from accessing or integrating into the workplace.

    Solution

Our Access to Work project will work within the community, connecting families, young people, councils and employers. It will provide training for young people with disabilities, equipping them with the relevant skills and knowledge, and help businesses to identify and remove barriers that could be adversely affecting young disabled people's work opportunities.
