Nepal is reeling from Covid-19. The contagious strain from India has caused many more deaths than reported. Severe lockdowns have led to suffering and starvation as people are unable to work. Please help us provide a range of support to help the people of Nepal get back on their feet.

Situation
Covid-19 has hit Nepal very badly. Thousands have died, with children orphaned from losing parents to the virus. Lockdown has caused millions of daily wage earners to lose their jobs, leading to severe hardship and even starvation. Families under extreme financial pressure have resulted in an increase in child trafficking. Schools have been closed for months, and it has been reported that many teenage girls will never go back to their education.
Solution
We have a flexible range of interventions to help children and families who are struggling. We will continue with our key mission of rescuing children who have been trafficked from the villages to the city. We will expand our service to care for Covid-19 orphans if needed. We will distribute emergency food parcels to 500 starving families, and supply masks and sanitiser to ten rural schools so that they can reopen and operate safely.
